Meet your St. George chiropractor

Dr. Matt Spencer Dc, TPI, SFMA, PTA

Dr. Matt is a sports chiropractor in St. George, Utah, specializing in injury rehabilitation, chiropractic care, and performance enhancement for active individuals. He helps athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday movers get out of pain and back to doing what they love—faster and stronger than before.

Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Matt began his healthcare journey as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He earned his associate’s degree from Utah Tech University and worked in a wide range of physical therapy settings—from post-op ACL recovery to rotator cuff rehab. This early hands-on experience deepened his passion for helping people heal through movement and set the foundation for his future in chiropractic.

Dr. Matt earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic and went on to train under some of the top providers in the country, including a clinical residency with Dr. Brett Winchester, the former chiropractor for the St. Louis Cardinals. This mentorship helped sharpen his skills in diagnosing and treating complex sports injuries and movement dysfunctions.

An athlete himself, Dr. Matt grew up playing every sport he could, from football to basketball and golf. His personal experience with injuries gives him unique insight into what athletes really need—personalized care, targeted rehab, and a long-term game plan for performance.

At Altitude Health & Performance, Dr. Matt blends hands-on chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, cupping therapy, TPI golf screens, and active sports rehab to deliver results that last. His full-body approach helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and prevent future injuries.

Whether you’re training for a race, working through a golf injury, or just want to move better and feel stronger, Dr. Matt is here to help you elevate your health—and your performance.

But this isn’t just a job,—it’s personal.

After years of moving his family across multiple states, raising three kids, obtaining 3 degrees, and building a business from the ground up, he knows what it means to juggle a lot and still prioritize health. He’s been in the trenches of injury, burnout, and “just getting by” physically. And he’s seen firsthand how smart, intentional care can completely change your trajectory—on and off the course.

That’s why Dr. Matt created Altitude Health & Performance: to offer more than a quick adjustment or passive treatment. Here, we take a holistic, evidence-based approach, combining chiropractic care, dry needling, cupping, mobility work, movement screening, and individualized rehab plans to get to the root of your issues and keep you performing at your peak.

Whether you’re a golfer, weekend warrior, competitive athlete, or just want to feel like yourself again, I’ll meet you where you’re at—and help you go further.
